1997 Honda Civic

I acquired this 1997 Honda Civic HB DX while I was in college in 2008. I had big plans and intentions of "building it right" the first time. Shortly after acquiring the vehicle, I was in a slight fender bender which caused damage to the passenger side front fender, headlight, bumper and hood. Naturally if I was going to restore the car then I was going to use the opportunity to make it better. I went on to purchase password jdm 'jdm style' fenders, Honda OEM SIR headlights, Honda OEM SIR front lip, OEM style hood and front bumper. The car was then resprayed Vogue Silver Metallic. Over the years I slowly acquired signal auto side mirrors (as far as I know they are the same as the vision/spoon mirrors), jdm thin side moldings, miracle X brace and a spoon exhaust. When I purchased the car it came on lowering springs and polished SI wheels which worked for some time until I could afford 'real wheels'. The final pieces of what I called phase 1 of the build was when I ordered a set of 16x8, 16x7 staggered SSR Professor SP1r wheels in white with polished lips and I wrapped them in falken azenis tires. To properly lower the car and improve the handling I purchased a buddy club camber kit for the front and rear along with a function 7 subframe brace and lower control arms with spherical bearings. At this time phase 1 was complete, the car looked the part but performance was lacking. Over time I slowly acquired more parts for the interior such as a nrg quick release and civic type gauge cluster. I also re-wrapped the door cards and created a false floor for the rear hatch area since I had removed the back seats. I also installed Cusco B pillar side braces. The next big purchase would have an integra type r engine B18C5 to complete phase 2 of the build but it never happened. I was daily driving the car to work at the time and I knew in order to get the car to the next level I needed to take it off the road full time. At the time I had intentions of buying a jeep something sensible but I ended up purchasing an AP2 S2000 lol. The civic remained the daily driver and the attention shifted to the S2000. I eventually bought a a 99 CR-V but time, money and space became a limiting factor for continuing the build. Unfortunately, the civic sat and was never the same. Fast forward to current day the same constraints exist and it's time to let it go. I recently bought a set of J's racing front fenders and Hasport K swap mounts with the intention of K swapping it in the near future but with a growing family time remains a limiting factor. I would love for this car to finally reach it's potential and for that to happen it's time to move it along. I included pictures of how it used to look along with pictures of it's current state.

I would tell a friend that if they have the time for a project this is a really good candidate. Some time, money and love will take this car a long way. The bones are good and it is a solid base to build on. These cars and the parts it will come with are getting harder to find in decent condition. Everything attached to the car in the pictures is included in the price along with the k-swap mounts and J's racing fenders. The gauge clusters and cross bar can be negotiated but it will be posted for sale separately on the website.
